Boston Wrestling Legion is proud to host the first-ever Springtime Showdown tournament. This is a tournament for wrestlers of all ages and takes place on Saturday May 17, 2025 at Excel Academy High School, 401 Bremen St, East Boston.
Wrestlers can compete in Elementary (K-4), Middle School (5-8), High School, and Open age divisions. Athletes in the elementary and middle age divisions will not be grouped with other wrestlers who have a 2+ year age difference without parental permission. Wrestlers may opt to enter one age division above their real age if they choose (EX: 8th grader wrestling in high school division).
Madison weights will be used to group wrestlers. There are no pre-set weight classes. All wrestlers are required to weigh-in on site after they arrive. Wrestlers will be grouped with other wrestlers in their division who are close to them in weight. We aim to group wrestlers into 8-person brackets, and will wrestle to 7th place (everyone gets 3 matches). For weights where it is not possible to do brackets of 8, we will do round robins instead.
Doors to the school open at 8:00 am
Grades K-4 scales close at 8:30 am, and wrestling will begin by 9:30 am
Grades 5-8 scales close at 9:00 am, and wrestling will begin by 10:00 am
High School and Open scales close at 10:00 am, and wrestling will begin by 11:00 am
Medals will be awarded as brackets finish
Registration is $30 per wrestler. No USAW card is required for this event. Payment is required to confirm spot in the tournament. Please register online at FloArena to secure a spot. Boston Battlefront 2025 Registration

Boston Wrestling Legion is proud to host the first-ever Boston Battlefront tournament. This is a tournament for wrestlers in grades 5-8 and takes place on Sunday February 9, 2025 at Excel Academy High School, 401 Bremen St, East Boston.
Wrestlers will compete in two age divisions: 5-6th grade and 7-8th grade. Grouped weights will be used, so wrestlers do not need to make a certain weight, but will instead be grouped with others in their division who are at a similar weight. Brackets will be 4-person round robin. We anticipate having a girls division for each age.
We aim to complete a high-quality, well-run tournament and also finish the day as early as possible. To help with this, we have a cap of 100 wrestlers maximum.

Grades 7-8 scales close at 9:00 am, and wrestling will begin by 10:00 am
We anticipate both age groups finishing by 12:30 pm
